A different take on the whole “He loves me, he loves me not” is this shirt from Union28.

"He loves me, he loves me a lot, he loves me…"  Any way the petals fall, you’re a blessed woman!  This modest "my husband rocks" daisy v-neck will brighten any day!

This shirt is modest, but it’s also a v-neck.  So, depending on the body type you might want to be careful.

The wording is in a decent location, the only thing that drew my eye was the location of the highest flower—but it’s not a big deal.

White?  Daisies might grow in the rain, but not this shirt!

Union28 has a way with making husbands and wives feel special—if your spouse will wear the shirt!

In this case, this woman’s proclaiming that she loves her husband like she did when she married him—or that she’d marry him all over again…

The t-shirt covers everything it should, it’s opaque.  It’s a nice color, and the text is fine.

These shirts would work really well as wedding presents, anniversary presents, or for a spouse to surprise the other some day!

I mean, how can you go wrong with both building your marriage and wearing something modest!?

This shirt is interesting, in that it comes in a different style than the shirts that we’ve already reviewed.  This shirt, which proclaims that your husband is your best friend, comes in an opaque and a sheer version.

For this photo, the model is actually wearing a beige camisole (which you can probably see better clicking through the site) so that nothing shows through.

I’m sure that this is a pretty cool style, and I could definitely see an angle where this could be interesting at home, but what do you think about shirts you can see partially through?

As far as the text, it’s perfectly fine to me, though I wonder why there are lips on there, since no guy I know wears lipstick.

Maybe I’ll have to pick up one of these for my wife!

If you’re looking for marriage related t-shirts, Union28 is the place to go.  They have all different kinds of shirts that proclaim your love or admiration for your husband or wife.

Today we’re looking at the I Love My Husband Winged Tee, which features a red shirt with an ornate design on the front.  The shirt itself is modest, in that it seems to be a decent length (regular t-shirt length?), and covers everything without be translucent or too tight.

As for the graphic, it’s not bad in its location, and I find my eyes actually drawn to the neckline wondering if the image is too high, rather than anywhere else.

The text has a psychological effect, as well, of telling men that this gal loves her husband.  Which is always a good thing.

From what I can tell, the Junior cut differs in how long the sleeves are and may be a bit more fitted.  The neck hole looks a bit smaller, but it’s hard to tell.

In both cases, the shirt has a really positive message when it comes to marriage, though I think the Ladies’ cut may be a bit more modest.

Of course this shirt only works if you have a husband!  I guess you could wear it thinking of the husband you’ll someday have, but that might be a stretch, and you’ll get a lot of interesting questions.

As far as the shirt goes, it’s fine as far as modesty goes, and we all know that it’s good to speak of the love you have for your husband.

Taking off of the thumbs up symbol on Facebook, this shirt proclaims the wearers like of Christian Boys.

The fit of the shirt (neckline, shoulders, length) are all fine, so as most t-shirts, the biggest question I have is the writing.

Do you think that the placement of the writing on this shirt causes more attention to the chest?  Is that a problem or will they just see the text?

I’m glad that the text is bigger, and quickly readable.

Nothing is more widely known in terms of the Bible and Love than 1 Corinthians 13, and this shirt is a good presentation of what Love is.

There is also a logo on the top right of NOTW which is Not Of This World.  The word “Jesus” is hidden in the swirls as a kind of Easter Egg.

The shirt looks like it has a faux layer, as there’s a white section below the dark color, and the site claims that it is long body in fit.

Other than the words, there’s not much else to talk about in terms of modesty.  It’s a nice looking shirt, and a good choice to spread the message of what Love truly is.

This is a very rich and deep red color that works really well for this model’s skin tone.  I like the design that goes across the front, and that’s what my eye is drawn to.

The neckline is interesting, in that it looks like it’s a faux layered look.

The verse from Songs of Solomon 2:16 is in foil across the flowery design.

Like most t-shirts, it looks a bit tight, but that’s to be expected.

Black is always a striking color, and the text on top of this shirt make it stand out the more.  “Oh How He Loves” reminds me of the chorus “Oh How He Loves You and Me” – though I could see how you’d have to explain who “He” is.

I wonder about the positioning of the word “LOVES” on this shirt, and the lower text.  Since text on a shirt is inviting someone to read it, I wonder if you’d find people looking at your mid section, or coming up to you and looking at your waistline to read the fine print.

Perhaps this text should have been a bit higher?

When I was in college, I was asked by a friend of mine for my favorite verse.  This has changed over time, but at the time she asked, all I could come up with Isaiah 40 where God speaks about how, though the grass may wither and the flowers fall away, the word of God would stand forever.

That verse is printed across this top, as well as one from the Song of Solomon.

As far as modesty goes, this shirt is pretty good.  The neckline could be a bit low on some ladies, and it looks as if the top is a tad translucent, but it’s very feminine in color and cut, and it’s flowy, which makes it nice.

A great top from c28, in my opinion.  How about yours?

This shirt asks us the question, where do you put your treasure?  It’s taken from a verse in Matthew that reminds us that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also.

From a modesty stand point, the shirt offers great coverage, the print is big, not drawing the eye in anywhere in particular, and the length is decent.

The color’s also nice.

To me, this is a good illustration of modest t-shirt with a print, how about you?

My first thought is, “My, this dress isn’t doing much for her.”  This dress removes some definition of her form, which is normally something that we’re looking for when it comes to modesty, but she’s also a woman, and we come to expect a little more definition.

Putting that aside, the tiers do well to attract attention.  The top is fine as are the sleeves.

What do you think of this dress—I’m sure it’s modest, maybe I just don’t like the style?

Tank-tops make good layering pieces.  For the most part, they are usually thin material, they stretch, and they aren’t obtrusive to outer layers.

What you’re looking for in a good tank is:

1. A good neckline and
2. A lot of material to work with.

This tank from Shade Clothing has both of these features.  You can see that it has a lot of material due to the fact that there is some bunching along the waistline.

The neckline is a decent height—you may want a little higher.

I’m not as concerned about showing the shoulders since I would consider this something worn as an under-layer—or in the presence of your husband.  Otherwise they could be an issue.

We’ve talked before about V-necks.  There are two things that V-necks do that you have to be aware of:

1. The V-Shape usually means that the front is cut a little low, and that cleavage might be visible.
2. The V-Shape creates a contrast of colors (perhaps with skin) that can draw attention.

This V-neck tee is a generous length, which is great, but it does come rather low, such that it would have maintenance issues and it could show cleavage on certain body types.

The long sleeve undershirts are for those great winter days where it helps ward off the cold!  They also provide great coverage.

These shirts, offered currently in 7 different colors, boast long sleeves, a long torso, and a short neckline.

The shirt does look a bit tight, but that shouldn’t be an issue for an undershirt.

You Should Wear a T-Shirt As Outerwear

There are obvious reasons why one would wear a t-shirt as outerwear:

• T-Shirts are not as light weight as they once were.
• T-Shirts allow for displaying personality, and often have cute quotes and quips.
• Society promotes and accepts T-shirts as outwear.
• Having only one layer to wear makes one cooler.

I’m sure you could come up with others.

Last week we featured Diviine Modestee and part of their main business is modest and feminine t-shirts.  Shirts with bows and in solid colors are their claim to fame—especially because they are extra long.

You Shouldn’t Wear a T-Shirt As Outerwear

My grandfather could always be found in a white, button-down shirt for almost any job—and he was an appliance repairman.  He proved that you could do almost anything in dress clothes.  There are good reasons not to wear a t-shirt as outerwear:

• They are overly casual—they bring what was just inside the house wear into the public much like the current Pajama’s in Public movement.
• They only provide one layer of protection—they tend to run tighter and shorter (unless you get the shirts from DM or similar modest company above).
• They can easily become translucent:  It’s easy to see why it’s a “spring break” phenomenon to have “wet t-shirt contests” and such that are anything but modest.
• They serve best as under layers.

justagirl4god: I like this outfit. It is simple, classic and modest! The shirt is nice and long, the scarf solves any low neckline issues, and the jacket is just cool. The pants may be a bit tight (it’s a little hard to tell…) but they don’t seem too bad. There could be issues if the white shirt got wet… but overall, modest!

MInTheGap: The top is fine, but the leggings leave nothing to the imagination. What may be fine under a skirt has problems when it’s on its own.

justagirl4god: I really wish that more guys dressed like this. It is simple, and covers everything. Knee-length shorts are great, and can be paired with any t-shirt – I really wonder why some guys think rugby/football shorts are everyday clothing. This outfit is modest.

MInTheGap: As far as I can see, everything’s covered. The mouth across the chest does draw a bit of attention, as does the fact that it’s a bit tight, but that’s the only things I can see.
