Is This Modest?

Hannah: I love this skirt. It comes to just below the knees, which I think is a modest length, though any shorter would be pushing it. It has a nice full skirt and dark color is beautiful, flattering, and there probably won’t be an issue with it being too see-through. All-in-all, a very beautiful, flattering, and feminine outfit.

MInTheGap: Nice skirt—it falls past the knee, and will probably ride above it when she sits (so she’ll have to sit like a lady) and it’s got some good colors.

Foy: Very colorful – I like it! I wish I knew the thickness of that material though. I believe that some skirts in that style are a bit thin.

A definite four.

MInTheGap: I’m surprise there was no comment about the v-neck or how low it goes.  I think this outfit works, however.

Erin: The neckline is too low. With a nice high-necked camisole or tank-top, I think it would be feminine and modest.

MInTheGap: This is a very feminine outfit (except for the jeans) but it is way open.  The rest is pretty put together.  I’m seconding Erin’s motion.

Erin: Side views…ugh! Assuming the neckline is good I think this outfit is fine.

MInTheGap: The top is really big, and it flares at the leg. The top of the jeans may be a little tight– I’m going mostly modest.  I think they’re on to us, Erin.  The bags are getting bigger and they’re doing profiles.

Erin: I think the skirt is a few inches too short, so I’m saying slightly immodest.

MInTheGap: The shirt is strange– long sleeves but you don’t put your arms in them? Or is that a cardigan she’s not wearing?  I’m going mostly modest because of how much leg is shown, but it’s really close.

Is This Modest?

Erin: I think the open-worked neckline shows off a bit too much skin. However from what I can see, otherwise it’s very cute and modest! I think the pants are a nice fit especially!

MInTheGap: I’m going modest here, and I’ll tell you why.  There’s nothing clingy, everything’s covered as far as “functional” and she even has a big walking stick.  The top may show a little skin, but it is still higher up on the chest, and it’s hard to really make out anything in terms of cleavage.  In fact, if I were to take off points for the top, I would take it off on the fact that the fabric is elastic right under her breasts (can I get away saying that word?) and therefore it calls attention that way.

Erin: This is…wild. The tightness is what bothers me the most, especially in the top. I’m undecided on all the animal print…

MInTheGap: The dress length is acceptable, and though that’s a high heel, I’m not too picky.  She must have extraordinary balance to be able to do that pose!  However, the cut of the top of the dress may be revealing in some motions.  I’m going mostly modest.

Is This Modest?

Erin: I think it is classy and cute! The coat is a little wild, but that’s a personal preference not a modesty issue.

MInTheGap: This works for me, though the fact that the coat is low and the lines of the bottom of the coat might have the same effect as a slit on the front of a skirt.  The jacket is very “noisy” but might work as camouflage in the desert.  I’ll go mostly modest.

MInTheGap – Whoa—talk about weird color choices.  Who would have thought to have teal, blue on a purple background.  It certainly is drawing attention!  Borderline.

MInTheGap – Borderline.  Throw a sweater over it and you’re fine because the straps are too small.

Erin – I think the pants are a little too tight in the thigh and the shirt exposes too much shoulder and chest.
