This poncho looks comfortable, all the way around.

The length is nice, and it covers everything.  It comes down past the knees at the point, which is great.  The length on the arms is good.  The neck provides a lot of warmth!

This would be a great item to wear in the autumn—as long as it’s not too long that you’d find yourself caught or sitting on it.

Do any of you own a poncho?  Do you like it?

This jacket looks pretty sharp.  It has multiple buttons that stand out, and the belt serves to bring the waistline in.

However, I’m not sure whether I’m just not in style or I don’t understand the point.  The sleeves seem to be 3/4—not an issue of modesty—and the length seems to run short on this model.

Could the jacket provide a false sense of security about length?

Otherwise, I like it.  The neckline is nice and high, and as long as the layer underneath is long, this could be a great addition to your wardrobe.

DCM Apparel is mostly known for its skirts and its Tanks-a-lot, but there are a few items that aren’t skirts that make the outfit.

This Mocha Floral Denim Jacket is designed to go with the Mocha Floral Denim Skirt.

It’s made of stretch denim—cotton and spandex.

What do you think of embellishments on items?  I know that it draws attention, but I think that it’s of the feminine sort, and that I don’t think that makes an item immodest.

I bet you thought, from the fact that our giveaways are always skirts, that the only thing that New Creation Apparel sold was skirts.  If you guessed that, you’d have been wrong!

NCA is growing and has multiple different offerings—including the combination appearing on the left.

Now, I’m not sure why it’s stated to be “Baby Blue” when the picture is definitely pink (as this is limited in stock it could be that pink is the only color left?), but the outfit itself is great.

The jacket comes up nice and high with a collar that draws attention to the face, and the skirt’s pattern and length are fantastic.  Definitely something to consider purchasing should you be of the right size.

To me, and this is just a personal opinion, it doesn’t look to me like this thing fits the model correctly.  It’s probably just the fact that I don’t know as much about fashion as I could.

The 3/4 sleeves give the illusion to me of the sleeves not being long enough.  The fact that it comes down so high on the waist makes it look too short.  The layering is great, but I’m not sure about this piece.

So, tell me that I don’t know fashion or give me your opinion—what do you think?

MInTheGap: It’s a nice jacket and slacks combination, but I’m not sure what that pose says. I mean, the pose and the fact that one part of his spiky hair is sticking straight up distracts me. I’d prefer one of the other shots he has where he’s standing up.

Foy: I’m not a girl, so I have a hard time judging male modesty. But I’d wonder about the open shirt near the top. Other than that and the hair, it seems fine.

justagirl4god: This outfit looks like something I might wear… the jeans don’t appear to be ‘glued on’, as many are these days. The jacket adds some colour to the outfit and covers up her shoulders. However, I have a few problems with the shirt and necklace. The white shirt seems to be a bit low, and is ‘bubbling’ on her, which suggests that it is fairly tight. The necklace is large and it sits right on her chest – drawing attention to this area. Overall, I would say this is a borderline outfit.

MInTheGap: If it weren’t for the white layer I’d say this was a very acceptable outfit. The necklace hides how low this shirt is, but I don’t tend to have trouble with necklaces. The color is good for her.

MInTheGap: This is about as short as shorts can be for me and be considered in the modest territory– or borderline. They are not short shorts, and they’re not tight, so I don’t have a problem with them. The layers are decent– with the jacket. So this outfit is fine by me.

Foy: The shorts are very borderline. From the waist up though, it’s very modest.

MInTheGap: The coverage is great– the jeans are not tight, the jacket is nice and baggy. The only thing I can quibble about is that I can make out the outline of her bra and that the shirt might be a tad short. Otherwise, nothing but good things to say!

MInTheGap: The under layer makes this much more modest than it would have been with just the tank top. The shirt is not too tight, and it looks comfortable.

Foy: I think this is great. This style of tank top usually excentuates the bust – this one doesn’t. The pattern also helps this shirt maintain modesty.

MInTheGap: In reality, a lot more of her skin is covered than some of the formals we looked at; however, there’s a lot that’s immodest here. White is a very tricky color to wear because it is translucent unless thick– you can see that her under layer is showing her underthings. The shirt is also too tight and not long enough to cover where her pants meet. This look, though covered, is immodest. Buttoning up the jacket would help.

Foy: ”MinTheGap: Psychic” is back at it, saying everything that I would have said. As I’m sure regular readers know, I don’t care for white, and this shirt is a perfect example.

Erin: Side views are so deceiving sometimes. I think I’m getting a glimpse of too much chest, and the skirt is too short (in my opinion). So assuming I’m getting the right vibe about the depth of the neckline, I’m going to go immodest.

MInTheGap: See, to me, the dress length is fine (it covers the knee), the heels tend to make it look like she’s showing more leg, but she’s showing her feet.  I can’t tell about the top– it may be low, and for that I’m going borderline.  Put that jacket back on and it may be modest.

Erin: I think it is classy and cute! The coat is a little wild, but that’s a personal preference not a modesty issue.

MInTheGap: This works for me, though the fact that the coat is low and the lines of the bottom of the coat might have the same effect as a slit on the front of a skirt.  The jacket is very “noisy” but might work as camouflage in the desert.  I’ll go mostly modest.

Erin: The shirt I think is a halter-top, which I don’t consider modest. And what’s up with the shoes…no wonder she’s sitting down. I’d fall over or loose feeling in my toes!

MInTheGap: Lots of shoulders, really high heels, but the V is rather high.  A jacket would go a long way here.  I’m going slightly immodest.  ‘Course if this photo was taken after labor day, the white pants would sink it!

Erin: The v-neck is too low…With a camisole or long t-shirt, it would raise the neck and add a little length to the sweater. That’d be about perfect.

MInTheGap: The V-neck is low, even if the jacket was buttoned.  The pants don’t look that bad.  I’m going borderline.  If she bent down to pick something up, and were not careful, it’d be immodest.
