Is it because of peer pressure, because they feel that they need to impress, or because it's more feminine/modest? Something I'm missing?

Right now I am working a job that requires long pants, so there is very little opportunity to wear skirts on a regular basis. I always wear skirts/dresses to church and usually I wear them on Sunday, the only day I get off from work. :)

I think the reason for me is, pants are just way more comfy… I do like wearing skirts, don't get me wrong, but I don't like the whole leg-rubbing thing, and you can't really do much active stuff in them. So if church is the only "nice place" the person goes to, then I guess that would be the only place they wear skirts to. Does that make sense?
