It's no secret that most of the writers on this site have a background in Christianity.  The truth is, however, that many religions have modesty as part of their faith.

How do you think Is This Modest? should respond to requests to advertise on this site from different religions?

We've linked to mormon sites for certain formals, etc.  We've been asked to join a program to promote muslim clothing, but I'm interested in your opinion.

Would you buy from a site that supported a religion different from your own?  How would you react if this site had ads from muslim companies?

You already know my thoughts on this. :-D  I have bought a formal from a Mormon site (a few years ago, before there was *anyone else* offering such things…). So I'm not completely adverse to it.  However, I personally would do my best to avoid supporting Muslim groups through my purchases.

If we support Islam in one way, it would seem awkward then not to quote to Koran, something that I believe many of us might disagree with. I know that we might shun some viewers by doing that, but I believe that this is one area in which we must stay firm. I don't meant to be harsh by that statement, but I feel strongly in that area.

So say we all.

I was wondering if I could suggest that maybe you have different sections for different religions?  I have seen some sites that do this.  But I understand your discomfort.

I am Jewish, and I was surprised to find your interview with Allison Joseph on Jewish modesty.  Each religion has its own rules on what is modesty.  But maybe if we don't step on each other's toes, we might be ok?

Hi tzniutfashion.  I don't have a problem with having other opinions on modesty voiced– even other religions.  We started out very generic in this regard and found that a majority of our readers happened to skew Christian.

However, I think that there's a lot to be learned from each other and I'm open to it!
