I went to the prom last year with my boyfriend and I am going this year without him (he wants to avoid all the skin.).

I am blessed with a mother who can sew, and so we made my dress last year and we made it this year too.

Last year's was full length with a strange back which wasn't super-modest, but the strappiness of it made it less immodest. (http://i74.photobucket.com/alb…..0_7478.jpg)

This year's is just below knee-length and the top is completely covering except for sleeves (it's like a sleeveless teeshirt, that's how high the neckline is in both front and back).

I'll post a picture when we get the dress done. Right now we have to put the zipper in the back, and it's a different style than my mother has ever done before, so she's hoping her friend will come supervise her sewing.

Did her parents approve of that?

So I went to Prom last night. I was one of the most modestly dressed there except for our Muslim exchange students, both of whom looked very pretty. Anyway, I'm sleep-deprived now but it's okay, because I am going to go to bed soon.

Had a good night's sleep, which was very helpful.

People keep saying that the hypnotist was better last year, but I liked this year's better. I never want to be hypnotized, because it seems unhealthy. Most of the people who were, couldn't remember what they'd done. Not cool.

I think it was pretty enjoyable overall though.
