Hmm. Maybe you could put them down the side instead of at the top?

If that's the case, you're definitely my sidekick.

Key word being "kick".

"Ouch…don't kick my side!"

So say we all.

I've seen Flickr badges that are 2 wide and multiple down.  That could work.  I was also thinking it might be possible to put it in the footer.  We'll just have to wait and see.

Stick 'em on the left side of this column, there's plenty of space.

Even better, have a flickr feed section of the site. That way, people don't HAVE to look at them, if they don't want to. That could help those who struggle with images.

Edit: I mean like QR's- you don't HAVE to look at them, you can make a choice whether or not to look at them.

And the controversy continues…

The designer I had showed her father our site, and he doesn't think he wants his daughter a part of what we're doing.  He basically said that we're showing things that would cause people to stumble and used the illustration of police only learning the truth and not having to see what's wrong.

Now, I'm sure he didn't dig deep enough or realize our primary audience, but are we hurting ourselves with QRs or the Flickr feed?  To me, that's part of the reason we're here– to ask the question and generate response.

But I feel that we also may be hurting ourselves because those that would walk with us are taking us off their blogrolls or feeling strange sending people to our site because of what might be seen– and what might they might not be able to unsee.

Are we calloused to it?  Is it important– it was the reason this thing was started.  Should we scrap everything but the articles?

Hmmm…I don't think you should scrap everything but the articles. I enjoy your site, but must admit I don't really suggjest it to friends, and I know I wouldn't encourage my brother to visit it. Why? Mostly because of the flicker feed. From reading this site it seems that most people agree that cleavage and strapless clothing is immodest. So why have so many photos like that in the pool?

Part of the problem is that, for the most part, you invite people to join the pool but it is their decision of whether to add them or not.  I try to keep it balanced when I invite people in, but last month I was trying to find a good cross section of what to expect ain formal dresses, but there were not a lot of modest ones.  I did not invite some of the more outrageous ones.

I don't want to chase people away, but I also believe that a big part of what we do here is illustration.

How do we strike an appropriate balance?  Would your brother really want to come to a site on modesty?

Would it be better if the thing was in the footer or only on the Quick Reviews page?

Ok, sorry…I didn't know exactly how the flickr pool works. Pardon my ignorance.Confused  Having the pictures at the top doesn't really bother me, as they are fairly small.

Yeah, most formal dresses are seriously lacking when it comes to modesty. Hey, I'm not holding it against you.

As to my brother, I was kinda using that as an illistration. Why would I invite my brother or other guys to come to this site? For more male opinions. (Not that you and Foy don't do a good job, you do.) I think it would be cool to have more guys to encourage us ladies and to express their opinions. But that's probably not really the purpose of this site, so yeah, may God grant you wisdom as you continue to develope this site.Smile
