Are V-Necklines Always Immodest?

There are various opinons on this one, but what do you think? Are v-necklines always immodest?

My personal opinion is "no".  I've seen more than my fair share of plunging v-necks, which obviously are a "no go".  However, it seems that if it's shallow enough to only fall an inch or two below the collarbone, it is alright.

I know that some people think that the "v" always adds emphasis to the wrong area of the chest, but it seems to me that it isn't necessary that we try to "hide" the fact that women have curves…pretty much everyone already knows they do. If we put such an emphasis on it by our dressing that people can't help but notice it even before they see our face…that is when it becomes a problem.

I'm stirring up the pot here…so please participate! Laugh

I don't have a problem with a shirt like this: http://www.indiamart.com/dezig…..-shirt.jpg

But I do have a problem with a shirt like this: (warning, mannequin immodesty) http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img…..AEc8tA.jpg

It's just easier for me to not wear v-neck shirts and avoid the whole debate. That's what I usually do, anyway. My boyfriend has expressed that v-neck shirts are always a problem for him, and I want to respect that, so I don't wear v-necks. I do wear polo shirts that button up (but I don't button the last button usually, I feel like it's choking a little.).

For me, V-Necks are like arrows. They point directly to the chest.

That's what bothers me.

Regarding polo shirts…they're a mixed bag. Sometimes girls wear tight polo shirts very suggestively, not buttoning them at all (this causes major trouble when they bend over). The un-buttoning plus the pressure of the chest on the shirt causes the split in the shirt to part, resulting in massive cleavage.

But I don't think you're talking about polo shirts in that manner.

So say we all.

You're correct, I am not. I always wear fairly loose shirts unless I am dressing up a little bit, and even then those shirts are not skin-tight and immodest.
