This dress I *love.*

It’s sleeveless, which means I would want to wear it with some sort of layering tshirt/blouse underneath, and it also seems to have a low v-neck. However, once those issues are taken care of it seems to be perfectly modest.

The description says it comes right below the knee, and it has no problems with tightness that I can see from the photo. Oh, and it has *pockets*! I love a dress with pockets!

This is a pretty basic dress, although it does have some interesting detailing on the sleeves and neckline. I can’t tell how long it would be, but I would guess about knee length, depending on your height.

Some potential modesty issues: it looks a little too form fitting around the hips, and it also has an almost empire waistline. Personally, I am fine with the empire-style waists, but I know not everybody is. It also has a slight slit in the neckline. I can’t tell from the picture how low it goes, but it could always be cured with another layer underneath.

I think this dress has a really classic design, but I’m not sure I would be comfortable wearing it because of the tightness. You could maybe fix that by going a size up. What do you think?

Personally, I am not comfortable wearing sleeveless tops. However, I do think they are very useful for layering, and very seldom can I find a tank top that is long enough and has a high enough neckline. This one seems like it would be more than long enough, and it definitely has a modest neckline.

If you were going to wear this as a standalone top, I would be concerned about the tightness and the fact that the armholes seem rather large. A common problem with sleeveless tops is that the arm holes are far too large and you can see right through them.

This is a lovely blouse with 3/4 sleeves and a high neckline. It does have some detailing around the neckline that could be a concern, but over all I would say it is definitely a modest cut.

However, it is white, and there are inherent problems with white clothing. They tend to be very see-through, and become pretty much transparent when they get wet. (also, I tend to stain all my white clothes the first time I wear them. -.- Hopefully you are more graceful than I am.) So you would have to make sure you are wearing something underneath, and be very careful not to get dunked in water, sprayed with a hose, etc.

What I always like to do with sheer tops is to wear them with a shirt of a contrasting colour underneath. Black, bright blue, red, etc. Just make sure that the shirt underneath has enough coverage as well. :)

A note about me: I am in love with black skirts. If I could find enough modest and pretty black skirts, they would comprise about half of my wardrobe. You *can* get this one in khaki, but I always manage to destroy all my light coloured clothing, so I stick with the darks.

This skirt is a little more business-type, being an a-line skirt. The description says it comes below the knee, which is good. I sometimes have a problem with a-line skirts being to tight around the hips, but this one doesn’t look like it would be.

First off: I *love* the look of this skirt. I would wear it every day if I could, and I would *definitely* wear it to work. The length looks good to me; I think it would come to the knee or just below, depending on your height. The buttons are a cute fashion touch, and I like that it flares out from the waist so that it doesn’t constrict movement.

The only problem I could forsee with this skirt is that it might be a little bit clingy. I’m not very good with fabrics, so that’s just my guess from the photo. What do you think?

I really like the look of this shirt. I find that when layering the bottom layer always bunches up, so I like shirts that appear to be layered but are not. The shirt seems to be long enough to be worn with jeans and not have to worry about it riding up. The neckline is pretty much perfect.

The only problem that I can see with this shirt is that it might be a bit too tight, so you would have to remember that when choosing a size. Over all, though, I think it qualifies as a very modest top.

Plus the puffed sleeves will make you look like a princess. :-D (or Anne of Green Gables…)

Funky Frum’s ‘Ponte Jumper’ is a simple style which can be easily layered with coloured shirts, bright beaded jewelry and some awesome shoes.

It has a nice high neckline and the length is good. It is a great base to let your fashion creativity show!
