Part of the storyline for the comic Luann back around Thanksgiving was the idea of raising money for the local fire department by having a calendar of pictures of the firefighters.

At the same time, Tiffany thought that it would be a good idea to make some cash by using some photos of her own to make a calendar—who wouldn’t want to look at pictures of her?!

Unfortunately—or fortunately depending on how you look at it—she didn’t know how to print it out well—which set up this comic.

Gunther, the computer geek, was more interested in the production qualities than the photos.  If only more guys were like this!

When we’re talking about modesty, we’re talking about the impression that is made on the viewer by the wearer.  Specifically, what does my clothing say about me, and how will it be perceived by members of the opposite sex.

You Need Better Friends

In the comic strip Luann, the group of friends (Luann, Bernice, and Delta) are all excited about the chance to go to Washington, DC, and no one is more excited than Delta.  She believes that she can one day grow up to make a difference, and believes that her destiny may be in politics.

Only this whole plan meets a snag when there’s not enough money for everyone to make the trip, and Delta is the one that draws the ballot not to be able to go.  So what do the two friends do?  They tap into the vanity of the cheerleader, Tiffany, to get her to be a part of a fundraiser to raise the money for the last ticket, and they decide that they can attract the most attention by having her dunked in a dunking booth.

Of course Tiffany, believing that she has the perfect body, decides that the appropriate attire for this dunking is a bikini—which sets up this interaction:

Who are You Trying to Get?

Lila is a single woman that works in a help center for a company called “metromart”.  She is completely self-absorbed, has a shoe blog, and tries to get by with as little work as possible.  She hangs out with her two friends, and is trying to attract a guy.
