Motives for Modesty

Why did you choose to dress modesty?

It’s a question that we’ve been asking and every Wednesday we’ve been seeing the answers from different people, but what motivates you is at the heart of the matter.

You see, modesty rarely travels alone.  It’s usually accompanied by purity, humility and chastity.  To me, modesty is the outward expression of these internal convictions.

Yes, modesty can be faked and forced.  It can be something you do because you have to.  However, even modest pieces of clothing can be worn immodestly, and immodest clothing can (and often is!) made modest.

So, for the next few weeks, let’s look at some of the motives for modesty and talk through the good and the bad reasons.
