First Modest Monday and June NCA Giveaway

Many of you that are bloggers are familiar with the concept of the Internet Meme—something that’s done on a weekly basis that people participate in and work to build community.
At Is This Modest, we’d like to encourage you that there are people out there that dress modest, as well as look good.
To this end, we’re going to start Modest Mondays. Basically, the idea is:
- Take a photo of yourself dressed modestly.
- Post it to your blog.
- Let us know in comments.
- We’ll link to you in the body of our post.
- Our readers will then go to your site and be an encouragement!
To kick this off and get is started with a bang, we’re going to pair this up with our monthly New Creation Apparel giveaway!
- Everyone that comments below (minimum 3 sentences) gets 1 entry
- If you visit a site listed on this post and leave an encouraging comment you get 2 entries for each site you visit.
- If you participate in Modest Monday this week you get 10 entries!
It’s a lot of work for me, but it should be a lot of fun as well.
So, get your friends, tell mom blogs and homeschool blogs about it, and let’s see if we can’t make this a great new feature!

I need to think of a way to post on my blog because my blog is basically all about my artwork! I might ask my sister, Rebekah, to help me with this and maybe do a post on her blog since it’s about sewing and other crafts (I would wear the clothes she has made me!). Would it be ok if I post on a blog other than mine?
I don’t have a problem with you posting it on another blog.
Wow! This is so exciting! I do love giveaways. I’ve only won one in my life online. However, I do have hope. That’s why I’m posting a comment! I wanted to tell you that I’m really impressed with your posts, and your words are so inspiring in this culture that we live in: one of darkness, deceit, and indecency. It’s so nice to have a place that is a haven of light, truth, and modesty! Keep up the good work!

Ooooh, I love giveaways!!! Especially when they involve clothes….lol. It’s been a slight challenge trying to find cool, stylish, multi-purpose outfits for my job taking care of two little kids…..I have to be ready to run around, walk in the beach, sit on the floor, play in the kiddie pool and hold a wiggly one year old at the same time, etc. And all while trying to look at least a little cute! :-)

The New Creation clothes are so cute! I’d love to be entered! Modest Mondays is a great idea! I don’t think I’ll be able to join in that (due to the difficulty of getting pictures of myself when my sisters are all at work) just now but hopefully sometime I can! :)

Good morning, I have been enjoying this site for a little while and find the articles very interesting and thought provoking. I do not have a blog or website nor plan to have one at this time. I’d like to participate in the giveaway, but wasn’t sure I would qualify. I love New Creation’s skirts! I just purchased 2 this summer. They are quality made and very modest. Something you can’t find easily at the department stores. Thanks for your site and the give away!

I love your modest apparel – but am waiting anxiously for the October giveaway. Have I missed it? What happened to it? I don’t know about anyone else, but I would LOVE a free skirt!!!
