• The Woman in the Sundress « Whatsoever Things Are True – Men love to look at women. This is nothing new. When a woman dresses in a sensual way, leaving nothing to the imagination, we notice. Big Time. If a woman is looking to get a man’s attention, this will absolutely work. The kind of attention she is getting, however, is not the kind of attention I want my daughter or my wife getting from men. I know what men are like, and I know how men think. I can guarantee that a guy is not looking at a woman dressed with everything hanging out and hoping to discuss the virtues of Mother Theresa and her Sisters of Mercy in Calcutta. Ladies, you know it. Don’t fool yourselves.
• Dress Properly | Come Fill Your Cup – There seems to be no concern for modest apparel in today’s world. However, even sadder is the lack of concern for modesty among members of the church! Do commands from God not apply to women today? Certainly they are for women today! God’s commands do not change to fit worldly standards! There is no variation or shadow of turning with God the Father (see James 1:17). Christians must realize that all commandments in the New Testament are to be obeyed today!
• What is Modesty? | The Body Theologic – Rather, modesty is the virtue of not drawing undue attention to oneself. You may have noticed that this definition doesn’t say anything about clothing at all. That’s because the virtue of modesty is both less restrictive and more demanding than the arbitrary standards people like to impose.
• Keep Your Clothes On « The Cross Is All – Spring is here and Summer isn’t far behind. As coolish days give rise to hot ones women will once again start shedding their clothes in the name of freedom. I guess that I ought to be used to this by now but it still bothers me. I don’t want to see the undressed bodies of girls I don’t even know and I sure don’t want my sons seeing them.
