Plaid shirtPlaid is in!  JCPenny has a wide assortment of plaid shirts, but this button down shirt (St. John’s Bay® Plaid Shirt) features a softer look to the trend.  The feminine detailing on this particular shirt is remarkable.  I like the addition of a smocked bodice!

The shaping of this shirt is quite modest.  The only worry I have is the length.  I am a tall girl, so I probably need to wear a cami underneath.

The shirt comes in four colors.  I would wear this cute shirt with a denim or brown skirt, depending on the color of the shirt.

What do you think about this piece?  Would you wear it?

Very cute plaid pattern and colors. However, I don’t like the horizontal seam across the front. Not that it’s immodest I just don’t care for the way it looks.

Yes, I don’t really like the line either. It would be worse I think if it was below the bust. A very cute summer plaid.

I agree with you, Erin. I do really like the sleeves on this top! Their short but not WAY short like a lot of tops.

I like this! The color is nice, the pattern is fun, and for petite girls, the length would be great too. I agree about the seam across the chest, though…I think for that reason I wouldn’t spring on this one.

I like the color and the sleeves. But like the others said, I don’t care for the line across the chest. But at least it’s modest overall.
