Swingy McBride Tunic

p-swingy-tunicWhat I like about this is that it’s long—and yet it doesn’t look too out of place with jeans.  Being a person that’s usually anti-pants under a dress, this really doesn’t bother me.

The tunic has a nice belt to highlight the waist—though it may accentuate the bust as well.

It does should a bit of the shoulders, but you can’t beat the top—it’s almost like a turtle-neck!

The bottom isn’t too much of a question, because it’s not a skirt (though I guess it could be in the privacy of your home…).

It has two big pockets in the front, so you won’t need to lift it to access your jean pockets.

What do you think—tunic is a good thing?

I'm a 35 year old guy married to the most beautiful woman in the world (VirtuousBlonde) for 10 years, and has 4 mostly adorable children-- depending on whether they've had a nap, of course. I'm a software developer by trade, though I like to write on various topics. I got my start in blogging at MInTheGap in 2004 writing about culture, politics and got started talking about modesty on this site just 2 years ago.

Yes– though I would personally far rather have sleeves than the high collar– I’m not at all into low-cut things either but I feel like I’m choking whenever I wear turtle-necks…. I’m kind of picky in that area. Otherwise, it’s lovely!

Yes, I don’t like things on my neck either. I don’t like the pants under skirts and dresses style. I think it looks silly. To each his own.

Not my style at all. I agree with Maria–it needs sleeves. I’ve never tried wearing jeans under a dress/tunic.
