Cayenne

This fiery red dress is sure to get you attention—if that’s what you’re looking for.

This is first dress that we’ve looked at from Shabby Apple that I’m not sure you’ll want to purchase—unless you’re looking for something to wear around the home.

The neckline of this dress seems to come down to show cleavage, and has a V-like pattern.  The way the clothing comes across the bust definitely draws attention there.

The skirt length is decent, this time covering the knee of the model, and the waist is an interesting gathering pattern.

Is there some layer or inset I’m missing on the top, or is this really low cut?

I'm a 35 year old guy married to the most beautiful woman in the world (VirtuousBlonde) for 10 years, and has 4 mostly adorable children-- depending on whether they've had a nap, of course. I'm a software developer by trade, though I like to write on various topics. I got my start in blogging at MInTheGap in 2004 writing about culture, politics and got started talking about modesty on this site just 2 years ago.

Nope, this is definitely low-cut. The length is fine, but I think this one is a bit too clingy. It looks like a jersey-type material, which tends to stick to every curve. I would say this is kind of immodest for a modest clothing company, and I don’t think I would pay that much for it considering I’d need to wear a tank top underneath.

It looks like the model is wearing a size too big. The sleeves fit, but the bodice seems to have several inches of slack. That’s probably part of what makes it look so low cut. Someone with broader shoulders might fare better.

The color is nice, however. I’d rather wear it as a shirt than an entire dress, but it’s seasonally appropriate. Definitely a shade that I’d want to keep plain and not burden with patterns or bold accessories, though.

You can always pin the top so that it is not so low cut. I have a few dresses like this that I either pin the top or wear a bra type “tank” under it for coverage.

Not really a fan of this dress. The color is really bight (which I don’t consider immodest), but I don’t really like it. I love the color tones of the background in the photo!!

BAM! There she is. That is a bright dress. Looks a little low in the front.
