The Return of the Quick Reviews

It’s been almost a year since we have last seen a Quick Review—and with good cause. Having done them for quite a while, it was getting to the point where people, for lack of much else to say, were starting to talk about what the person was thinking and doing rather than focusing on what they were wearing.
Included in this was the fact that it was hard to balance modest and immodest clothing—we wanted to illustrate borderline clothing and things that were immodest, but there was much concern over what we were subjecting readers (and reviewers!). Modesty is a touchy issue—explosive to some degree—and there will always be differences of opinion.
That being the case, I’d like to announce the return of the Quick Reviews—with a new mission. That being, we will be reviewing models wearing items of clothing from Modest Retailers. This will help us to avoid the “what is she thinking” because they will be models, but we will be able to discuss what makes these things modest (or immodest, should we find a retailer that is immodest under the label of modest) and see some of what great modest options are out there.
Hopefully this will be fun and generate some good conversation. I hope you let me know how you like this new focus.

So they are coming back, are they? I must say this “new” way of doing QR’s seems like it will be very beneficial and interesting. Looking forward to seeing what y’all come up with. God bless!
@~AnneGirl~: They’ve been running since Monday. Hope that you like the new format. Not sure that we’ll find many that are actually even borderline, so I’m not sure how it will work out?
Oh, I totally get what you are saying. Hopefully it will work out well. I’m remaining optimistic. :)
I’m sure you’ll keep me posted. The neat thing is that even these link to the old ones so you can see examples of poor modesty– I guess? These aren’t so quick because I’m writing a whole lot more. Is more text better than less?
True. That’s a point I hadn’t thought of. I think it’s good that people can look at the old ones and share their opinion.
It depends what you mean by better. Less text might promote more comments… because not as many angles/viewpoints/options are covered.
More text might promote more comments/discussion because people can disagree with specific ideas.
Personally, I like that there is more to read as opposed to more often. But that’s just me. :)
Sounds like a good idea! I don’t think I’ve looked at the Quick Reviews yet. I’ll have to go do that…if I can find them. :P
