Scarf Style #4: Half-Knot

For the Half-Knot, you just throw the scarf around your neck and do the first step to any shoelace bow.

Because it ties in the front, the Half-Knot is really helpful for necklines that fall low in front. Maybe you’ve got one of those polo tops or blouses on which the designers seem to have *ahem* forgotten a few buttons at the top—or maybe you have a tunic-style blouse that sports a split neckline with a little too much split. Whatever the case, this scarf style could be just what you need.

The Half-Knot is also easily paired with other styles. I’ve seen a Loopedy-Do pulled tight with the ends in a Half-Knot in front, and it looked really good! You could tie your Half-Knot in the back and then pull the ends around front and tie another one for a Double Half-Knot, or you could do it opposite—first in front and then in back. A Reverse Double Half-Knot. (How many more words can we add?)

It can also be combined with the Aviator if you tie the half-knot at the side of your neck and let one end lay in front and the other in back, making for a more secure hang.
