cover8Last year a new fashion magazine hit the market with a fresh new look, amazing fashion tips, and most important, clothes that covered you up! I subscribed to the debut edition for my daughter and we have looked forward to every new edition in the mail! We just recently gave another subscription away to my neice because we liked it so much!

Summer Bellessa is the editor-in-chief of the magazine and she says “The idea of Eliza was born when my friends began having babies and started throwing away their beloved W and Vanity Fair magazines because their toddlers were looking through them. I began examining them through their “mom glasses” and was surprised to see how many sexually explicit images were in these popular periodicals. Everyone can agree it is not proper for children to look at things with sexual undertones, but did I really want to look at those things either?”

Everything about you is a heart issue, but many times those heart issues deal with the physical as well as the spiritual, and modesty is included in that. We live in a society that pushes the purely physical at us in everyway it can. It is very hard to find purely modest clothes that have a nice classicly fashionable look if you are not a wonder-woman seamstress or loaded with money to shop at top of the line department stores. Eliza has a mixture of price ranges with the clothing lines in its advertizements and there is something we can all afford somewhere within its covers.

Great article.. It’s refreshing as a fashion photogrpaher to see someone presenting age-approiate clothing in mags.

  3. I have two young boys myself so I can see why the modesty of this magazine would be a good thing. I very rarely buy magazines any more, and use the internet for catching up on the latest fashions and trends. Do you know whether they have a website.

    Thanks
