Is This Modest?

MInTheGap: The dress line ends right above the knee– with the fringe covering the knee. The top would be showing too much if it weren’t for the sash (I believe there are spaghetti straps?) The weird thing is the middle of this dress, almost like she doesn’t have a waist. that definitely draws attention to her bust.

Foy: The fringe at the bottom of her dress is definitely distracting – it makes the mind wonder if you’re seeing an undergarment of a sort.

The top also seems way too low.

    The type of waistline that this dress is utilizing is an empire waist…it is a waist that falls just below the bust line. The point of it is that it disguises a heavy bottom half, so it is recommended for girls who have a pear shaped body. It’s the same type of waistline used in many classic dresses such as regency dresses. Just an FYI. :)

    Actually the dress looks funny (like I ‘don’t have a waist’) because I was beginning to bend forward in surprise when the picture was taken! It really is a flattering dress. The top is satin, and the body is fully sparkled. There is a netting that lines the skirt part and it’s exposed at the hem to provide a little more leg coverage. It was quite appropriate for the event.(BTW- I did win! LOL)
