Is This Modest?

MInTheGap: Yes.  I like the color—the dots are really cool, especially as they gather near the hem.  I like the bright belt to give the indication of the location of the waist.

Foy: It’s long, it’s high, it’s great! Might want to watch the color, though. White dresses can sometimes be see-through.

I'm a 35 year old guy married to the most beautiful woman in the world (VirtuousBlonde) for 10 years, and has 4 mostly adorable children-- depending on whether they've had a nap, of course. I'm a software developer by trade, though I like to write on various topics. I got my start in blogging at MInTheGap in 2004 writing about culture, politics and got started talking about modesty on this site just 2 years ago.

I love it from this angle but judging by the shape and length of the skirt, I’m thinking that it’s likely to have a high slit in the back.

To me, it looks as though there’s more material in the bottom– though you’d know better than I. The way that the front goes down and to our left made me think that there was more material. It’d be interesting to contact the company and find out.

I wanted this dress when I was dress-hunting… Obviously I went with something else, but I thought this was a really cute dress.

I simply LOVE this dress….it’s so cute!

This is really cute…and I think the skirt is full enough that it might not have a slit in the back! :-)

Foy, I don’t think it’s a white dress…? It’s powder blue, at least on my screen.

  6. Chrs says:

If it’s close enough to white that he can’t tell, it could still be semi-transparent–except that I think it’s lined.

  7. Erin says:

I agree – i don’t think there is any problem with this dress being transparent, to make it sit right it would have to be lined.
