With spring right around the corner, I find myself wishing for a few non-formal/non-winter dresses. I have plenty of nice clothes for summer, so I don’t need to  run out and buy anything (besides, I love the thrill of thrift-store shopping anyway!). I am in the process of trying to find a dress to have on hand for business lunches and semi-formal dinners. Because of my husband’s job, I need to have a dress or two like that  around…Rushing out to buy something at the last minute is rarely good for the budget! :-)  In the process of looking around, there are a few dresses that have caught my eye.

One is the red Audrey dress from DiviineModestee. I love the fact that it has a high neckline, and is below the knee. Red and dark purple aren’t my favorite colors (nor are they very “springy”), but the dress itself is very feminine and modest at the same time.

The others are from MikaRose. These dresses are long enough to still cover the knees when sitting, and they have such feminine detailing. I especially love the button-front shirt dress…It can be dressed up or down and look very classic.   The black dress with the cowl-neck would be nice to have for concerts, nice dinners, and yet would even work nice for a trip to the park.

I think they all have their lovely qualities, and if they were in your price range ($45-70), they would work as beautiful staples for your modest wardrobe!

A wife to my handsome man and mama to my little man. I spend my days fixing meals and cuddling. I live in the cold, cold north, where there are four seasons: almost snow, lots of snow, more snow, and the two days of summer. I love the subject of modesty, but am dissapointed that there seems to be so little of it in today's clothing. Maybe this will be my very small way of helping to bring it back.

I especially like the white dress. Too bad it’s no longer available. The button-front shirt dress is nice, too, though.

Today I saw that Diviine Modestee has some of their dresses on sale. I’m talking $29!! I’m hoping to buy one, because that is such a reasonable price and their dresses are SO cute! They have a polka dot one that’s caught my eye.

Would you buy through Is This Modest if we became a reseller or affiliate?

      • ~AnneGirl~ says:

Certainly, if it’s helpful to y’all and IF I actually decide to buy it! The only thing I’m worried about is the fit and not being able to return it because of it being a clearance item. I need a little more time to think about it, but I’d really love to get it!

I can understand that. But I don’t think that the post specifically said “NOT in the forums” so I at least wanted to check! Thanks for the clarification.

Oh no! That is where I posted most of my comments! Just kidding. I’m glad you asked that Q Annegirl. I was thinking about that too. I was going to ask, but it looks like you beat me to it.

Yes, that’s good to know! Don’t want to be commenting where it doesn’t count. ;) Anyway, thanks for the good question, AnneGirl.

I always wish I had a reason to wear dresses like this. Most of the time I don’t though. Those are very pretty! :)

I just rated this one. I think the black dress is so cute. The girls hair looks good with the dress too.

Ah!! I just realized that tho’ I’ve commented on this post, I’ve never rated it. Thanks for commenting here, Erin. It led me back. Now I can leave my rating.
