Is This Modest?
Kristin: Here’s an example of having (almost) no skin showing and still looking pretty immodest. The tummy showing is an obvious problem and the pants are VERY low. A much longer (and a bit more loose) shirt and a less sensual pose would help her out. I’m going with Slightly Immodest leaning toward Immodest.
MInTheGap: Turtlenecks have a way of being clingy, showing everything– even if it is black. Showing the midriff to me says that your shirt it too short. The pose is also a problem. I’m going borderline only because I believe with a better pose and pulling down this shirt you could save the look– or just buy a good sweater!

I’m a wife, a daughter, a sister, and first and foremost I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I am not perfect, but I am “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14) and God takes me as I am. Obviously, He is loving…those of you who know me would agree that I’m a handful. Praise Jesus for His faithfulness!

I think the main problems here are the pants and the pose. I don’t think anything is really wrong with the shirt….I think there is a difference between “clingy” and “skimming.” I don’t have a problem with shirts that show curves….we’re not supposed to wear bags; but if they show the outlines of my abs or the back of my bra is clearly outlined, it’s too tight.
Yes, I think I’m with Amanda C. on this one…There is a difference between something that is too tight, and something that shows curves. The shirt does need to be longer though, and/or higher-waisted pants.
But the real fashion crime is that her pants are brown and her shirt is black! :p

The shirt is too short, unfortunately. The pose isn’t great either, but I think it might seem better if her stomach was covered.
