There’s been some discussion as to whether photos of ladies laying down are appropriate– so I figured that we should probably feature a few to take a look, and see if we can figure out why some people believe they are not– and what better avenue than Quick Reviews!

Oh, and this is my first attempt to use our Flickr Group and to blog from there, so bear with me…

MInTheGap: What you need to notice about this photo is what happens when the girl lifts up her head and what’s shown. Though I don’t think this is immodest, it can all hinge on how high the top goes.

Foy: I agree with you. Her hair is in a somewhat strategic place, so its a bit hard to determine how much you could see. But if I were standing directly in front of her, I would consider it immodest – due more to what you *might* see, than what is seen. Does that make any sense?

It makes sense to me, Foy! I know that I, personally, don’t feel modest when I’m lying down.

I understand this one, since you could see down her shirt, but I’m curious about side poses, such as this one from the flickr pool: http://www.flickr.com/photos/danbrennerdesign/3276274043/in/pool-858302@N23

I feel like it’s more modest, especially if it doesn’t show the whole person (this is me):

Yeah, Foy, it makes sense.

To quote Miss S.

I agree with you. There’s something about lying down that makes you vulnerable.

Yeah, you should be really careful with laying down poses. I think they can easily become seductive or immodest. The ones Anna posted are better though….

We have a picture similar to the first one cued up on the QRs. The leg pose, in my mind is very suggestive. And I second arielle’s statement.
