Is This Modest?

Erin: I think the shirt accents the bust a bit too much because of the styling on the top. Also, white pants could be a problem under certain circumstances, but they aren’t immodest in and of themselves. Overall, I think it’s pretty cute!

MInTheGap: This is a cite outfit. The color looks good on her, and though the front may go a little lower then I would like, the top goes down far enough all around to help with modesty. I’m going mostly modest because of the low cut front.

A wife to my handsome man and mama to my little man. I spend my days fixing meals and cuddling. I live in the cold, cold north, where there are four seasons: almost snow, lots of snow, more snow, and the two days of summer. I love the subject of modesty, but am dissapointed that there seems to be so little of it in today's clothing. Maybe this will be my very small way of helping to bring it back.

Wow, this model looks just like a friend of mine. Creepy.

I adore purple, it’s my new favorite shade to wear! (My favorite color’s blue, but purple has me in its entrancing grip as of late.) I think white pants are fantastic if they’re thick enough. Most white pants are too thin to wear, and it’s hard to tell from this picture if this particular pair is or not. But if this is a thick pair of pants, I think the cut is perfect. I think the only detail with the outfit I’d change would be the rouching in the middle of the bust. If the line of rouching went straight across the bottom of the bust instead of making a ^ shape, I think we’d be good.

The pants look a little too thin to me. The fact that you can see the form of the leg (above the knee area) tells me that they are too thin.

What makes the top bad is the fact that the shirt is made to accent her bust; instead of making it one piece of fabric, they create two spaces that specially accommodate, but also greatly emphasize, her chest.

The top is a FAR cry from modest… I’d say more Madonna-ish.

i agree w/ above 2 comments. the top’s not modest cause it’s MADE to emphasize her bust and fit TIGHT.
