Is This Modest?

Erin: It’s cute! However, the skirt is too short and the top is very revealing. It needs a t-shirt underneath.

MInTheGap: Immodest.  I mean, a purse can only hide so much!

A wife to my handsome man and mama to my little man. I spend my days fixing meals and cuddling. I live in the cold, cold north, where there are four seasons: almost snow, lots of snow, more snow, and the two days of summer. I love the subject of modesty, but am dissapointed that there seems to be so little of it in today's clothing. Maybe this will be my very small way of helping to bring it back.

Immodest. I don’t even think adding a t-shirt would redeem it because of the way the straps and bodice are cut.

I don’t see the skirt as too short – I think it would become immodest if it were any shorter. As far as the bodice, if the t-shirt were a similar color as the bodice, I think it would be okay too. Obviously, a cute cardigan would solve this problem, too.

@Anna Grace: I think a cardigan would work only if it was buttoned up most of the way, since the neckline is pretty low…

    I agree.
