If you want to know what your clothing does to a man, one of the easiest places to find out is by looking at what men are reading.

What’s interesting is that there are plenty of magazines and articles out there telling women how to appeal to men and men what to look for in women, and yet when we get into a conversation on modesty all of a sudden we have a hard time trying to determine the question, “Is This Modest?”

So, let’s take a look at a list found on Men’s Health Online called What Her Clothing Says About How Sexy She Feels and see if we can learn something about what is and what is not modest.

I'm a 35 year old guy married to the most beautiful woman in the world (VirtuousBlonde) for 10 years, and has 5 mostly adorable children-- depending on whether they've had a nap, of course. I'm a software developer by trade, though I like to write on various topics. I got my start in blogging at MInTheGap in 2004 writing about culture, politics and got started talking about modesty on this site just 3 years ago.

It amazes me how different men’s and women’s opinions on things can be. That article said that soft, fluffy sweaters are scandalous ’cause then men want to touch the fabric… and the girl wearing it. But I wear those types of sweaters when I’m needing a comfy day. I’ve never even thought about how it could affect guys.

What other things are out there that may have caused someone to stumble that I never thought about? Yikes!

The important thing to take away from this post is that guys are being told that girls are wearing certain things to attract them. Once you understand this, then you’ll be better aware of what’s going through their minds.

I don’t put much stock in the whole evolutionary bit they’re trying to sell, but I do know that both sexes will dress to impress.

Fascinating subject! I never thought about soft sweaters before. I second Anna Grace’s thoughts. This is an interesting series.
